Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment

AuraGov AI Solutions wants this website to be usable by people with disabilities. Our target is WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We have not completed or published a conformance audit. We use the following as reference points:

  • Accessible Canada Act (S.C. 2019, c. 10)
  • EN 301 549 (European standard for ICT accessibility, referenced as a benchmark)

Accessibility Features

We design this website with the following practices in mind:

Navigation and Structure

  • Skip-to-content link allowing keyboard users to bypass navigation
  • Semantic HTML5 landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) for screen reader navigation
  • We aim for consistent navigation from page to page
  • We aim for a descriptive title on each page
  • We aim for a logical heading order

Visual Design

  • We choose colours with WCAG 2.1 AA contrast in mind (4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text)
  • We aim not to convey information by colour alone
  • We design text so it can be resized, including toward 200%, without losing content or function
  • We design the layout to adapt to different screen sizes and orientations
  • We aim to respect a preference for reduced motion

Keyboard Accessibility

  • We aim to make interactive elements reachable by keyboard
  • We design for visible focus indicators
  • We aim for a tab order that follows the visual layout
  • We design to avoid keyboard traps

Screen Reader Support

  • We use ARIA labels and roles where semantic HTML is not enough
  • We aim to give images meaningful alternative text
  • We aim to associate form fields with labels
  • We aim to announce important content changes

Forms and Interactive Elements

  • We aim to give form fields visible labels and clear instructions
  • We aim to associate error messages with the relevant field
  • We aim to identify required fields
  • We aim to confirm when a form is submitted or when it needs correction

Conformance Status

When a barrier is confirmed, we intend to correct it.

Assistive Technologies

Please tell us if a screen reader or keyboard-only access cannot complete a task. Tools people commonly use include:

  • NVDA (NonVisual Desktop Access) with Firefox
  • VoiceOver with Safari (macOS and iOS)
  • Windows Narrator with Microsoft Edge
  • Keyboard-only navigation across major browsers

Known Limitations

While we work toward that target, some content may have limitations:

  • Some decorative images and background graphics are purposefully excluded from screen reader announcements.
  • Third-party content, if embedded, may not meet the same target.
